Newly authorized labs in Virginia and Michigan accelerate CCC Digital Key™ Certification for regional OEMs and suppliers
The Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC), the trusted source for defining how vehicles interact with devices and the world to enhance the consumer experience through standardized, secure, and convenient connectivity solutions, has expanded its global testing footprint with the designation of three new Authorized Test Labs (ATL) in North America:
- Accenture, located in Madison Heights, Michigan
- DEKRA, located in Plymouth, Michigan
- DEKRA, located in Sterling, Virginia
These additions mark the first CCC-authorized labs in the region and extend the CCC’s global network of test labs for the CCC Digital Key™, the only universal certification program for digital key technology, with facilities now operating across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
What This Means for CCC Members
The addition of these US-based labs strengthens the CCC’s global certification infrastructure, enabling automakers and suppliers to complete conformance and interoperability testing more efficiently. With a constellation of test labs around the world, CCC offers a full network of labs no matter what region a company is in or wants to test in. Accenture and DEKRA are both authorized to conduct DK Applet Compliance and End-to-End Interoperability testing.
These services ensure implementations align with the CCC Digital Key™ specifications and support consistent, cross-platform performance.

A Look Inside the Authorized Test Labs
Accenture, a global professional services company, has been recognized as the first CCC Digital Key™ ATL in the United States. The company provides end-to-end certification services using ultra-wideband (UWB), Near Field Communication (NFC), and Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) technologies. Accenture supports OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers throughout the certification process.

DEKRA, an international organization with decades of experience in automotive safety, vehicle connectivity, testing, and certification, expands its CCC Digital Key™ testing network with two authorized laboratories in Michigan and Virginia. Together with its existing facilities in Europe and Asia, DEKRA now operates seven authorized laboratory locations worldwide. The organization supports OEMs, suppliers, and technology providers throughout the CCC Digital Key™ certification process, providing interoperability and certification testing across NFC, Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE), and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technologies through its global network of accredited testing facilities.

Ready to Get CCC Digital Key™ Certified?
Both Accenture and DEKRA labs have previously participated in CCC’s Plugfest events, with DEKRA hosting Plugfest #18 at the automotive test center of DEKRA Lausitzring in Germany in June of 2026. IUT and lab/test tool registration are both open now for CCC Member companies in good standing.
As CCC Digital Key™ adoption continues to grow, the global network of ATLs plays a critical role in supporting certification and promoting reliable performance across platforms. It also improves efficiency for member companies working toward certification.
The increase in ATLs has led to a surge in the number of certified companies. Throughout 2025, 115 products from leading automakers and component manufacturers received certification.
