MirrorLink™: Developing Applications for Tomorrow’s Connected Car
Connected cars are the next great business opportunity for app developers. MirrorLink™ is the most promising standard
for allowing applications for use in the connected car environment. The Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) is using
its non-proprietary MirrorLink™ technology to create an ecosystem for app developers to bring their solutions to the market. These sessions will explain how MirrorLink™ works and how application developers will be able to use the CCC’s tools
to enable their apps for use in cars. We will discuss driver distraction guidelines, app certification processes and business models for the ecosystem. There will be focus areas for app developers, mobile operators, auto OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, mobile vendors and O/S vendors.
